This album gathers some of my recordings from last year, to this year.

It proposes a coherent and thoughtful journey through close and complementary sound climates.

The common point of these compositions is the slowness, the time to create a climate, to be immersed in it, to let it develop.

The common point of these compositions is also the quietude, the serenity, the immersion in possible and floating musics which make us forget, the time of a listening, the ugliness, the blackness of the world in which we live.

I am convinced that ambient music can envelop us, inspire us, like a backdrop for our waking dreams.

The first track of this album is dedicated to Vangelis, the master of us all, who made us dream, travel in countless dimensions.

The dream, the journey must continue...

REVIEW

"Oddly, Christian's own release titled QUIET MUSIC isn't in that Steve Roach vein at all. It opens with the tribute Suspension (For Vangelis), a very fragile piece that's somewhat close to the feel of side 2 from Vangelis' L'APOCALYPSE DES ANIMAUX with a hint of that later SOIL FESTIVITIES and MASK style.

The following tracks however, eight of them in the 4 to 5 minute range, are all in a more experimental vein, each of them with a different facet of exploration (and could also probably be seen as dedications to other artists, although no definite clues are given. This variety of moods gives it a library record like feel. The final tenth track Come And Go is quite different, as a dark and much more involved 10-minute excursion, in which we actually get some music in the spirit of Lightwave."
