about

The pictorial metaphor is again the source of inspiration for this new album...

Hearing shapes, colors, lines?

Watching harmonics, drones, fading atmospheres?

"Sound Painting II" is about spaces, dimensions, perspectives, rhythms.

Visual or sound. Viewing is listening.

I try to escape from some comfortable standards of ambient music to follow crossroads, acoustic escapes, in a way.

"Sound Painting II", inspired by the magnificent cover of the French graphic designer Thierry Moreau, wants to be a free exploration in new musical directions.

Instead of the comfort of well-tempered ambient music, I prefer to pursue my personal quest for new soundscapes, new sonic worlds, at the intersection of sound and silence.

There is no music without vibrations of the soul, between senses and thought...

REVIEWS

•• "I really liked the attention to detail here and the overall vibes is lovely cosmically attuned ambience..." (The Slow Music Movement)

•• "I get the impression with this release that each track is meant to symbolise some imaginary painting, either that or the tracks are like audio paintings in action. Whichever, it's all very lush
and sedate, so if one could visualize the paintings it action, it would all be bold strokes and dapples in slow motion. Largely the music has Eno and Vangelis aura about it, that is of the late 70s and early 80s period with soft, rich tones and big reverb. Not all of it is bright or airy though, Beyond Polyphony is really dark and spooky and is the closest it gets to Lightwave in mood. Nice stuff, it's ambient moods with depth, for those that like it in smaller pieces of 4 to 6 minutes."
(Alan Freeman, Audion Magazine, 73).
